Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo has revealed that he had a serious conversation with his players and expects that the performance against Fiorentina will not be repeated.
In their last match last year, the Bianconeri suffered a home loss of 0-3. “Of course I don’t want to see anything like the Fiorentina game again.”, Pirlo gave an interview for Juventus TV. “I talked with the team about the Fiorentina game, in which we were very bad in terms of attitude and everything.”, Pirlo said. “We had a nice meeting where we talked and discussed our goals for the new year.”, he added.
Pirlo also talked about his first months as a coach: “As a coach, one day you’re the best as a skyrocket, the next you’re no good for anything. Coaching Juventus has a lot of responsibilities, but I am ready for that.”
Champions Juventus suffered their first Serie A defeat of the season 3-0 at home to Fiorentina after having Juan Cuadrado sent off after 18 minutes. The team is 10 points behind leader AC Milan and the season so far saw 6 draws in 13 games for Juve.
Next game Juventus is facing Udinese at Juventus Stadium on Sunday. Udinese is 12th in Serie A and a victory for the Old Lady could put it in top 3.
