No challenge for Juve from bottom of the table Salernitana

Juventus avieched an expected 2-0 victory away to Salernitana. The Old Lady met almost no resistance and deservedly grabbed the three points. The goals were scored by Paulo Dybala in the 21st minute and Alvaro Morata in the 70th minute.

The Bianconeri were in dire need of a good result after defeats to Atalanta and Chelsea. Federico Chiesa was ruled out until the New Year, with Weston McKennie, Danilo, Mattia De Sciglio and Aaron Ramsey are still injured.

Moise Kean, Paulo Dybala and Dejan Kulusevski started in this trip away to Salernitana.

Paulo Dybala fired Juve in front with a game opening goal in the first half. He made a one-two combination with Kulusevski, then shot in the lower right corner of goalkeeper Belec for 1-0.

Juventus doubled their lead by the substitute Alvaro Morata. Bernardeschi received a pass in the penalty area then continued to the Spaniard, who had taken a position in the goal area and very technically knocked the ball through the legs of Belec for 2-0.

It hasn’t been an easy time, we lost to Atalanta and could’ve scored more goals this evening”, reflected on the game Allegri

We’re trailing in the league at the moment because we dropped points too many times.“, said Allegri.

That win was an important one for the club, considering how bad things have been going recently. Juventus are with 24 points in 7th place, seven away from the top four and 11 behind leaders Napoli, while Salernitana are at the bottom with eight points.

Czech legend and current vice-president Pavel Nedved chimed in on the tough times for the club:

At times you think that you’re strong, but then everything goes wrong. Other times you feel less impressive and it all goes your way. Every year is different.”
